CONSTRUTION
Tom did an absolutely amazing job on our garden. He transformed a glorified landslide, that was completely overgrown and dangerously steep, into a beautiful Mediterranean style terrace. He did a number of site visits before we engaged him and drew up detailed plans of what the build would look like, which he happily revised to suit our preferences and budget. He involved us in all the decision making and provided expert advice on materials, which were all of the highest quality. He was very patient while we overthought the aesthetics and was able to capture perfectly the look we finally settled on.
FINISHED
I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to say the project was a bit of an engineering feat - which other landscapers we quoted ran scared from. For the retaining wall this involved digging into the bank to construct a concrete pad that was engineered to the nth degree before lugging concrete blocks up a steep bank to make our wall.
His attention to detail is immaculate, as can be seen from the finishing on the deck and wall.
As well as the terrace he built us bespoke rails and a ladder to the play area, which our daughter loves, and planters below to bring the space to life. The steps up to the deck are a genuine delight, soft on the tread and beautifully designed. The wall was expertly rendered and copings set perfectly. We can’t thank him enough and couldn’t recommend him more highly! (N.B. He likes a cup of tea - builder style)
